Job overview

Synbus is looking for an innovative and technically skilled AI and Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain intelligent automation solutions for businesses and digital platforms. You will work on AI-powered business workflows, API integrations, LLM-based applications, automated data processing, customer support systems, and operational automation using n8n and modern AI technologies. The ideal candidate combines software development experience with a strong understanding of workflow automation, REST APIs, large language models, prompt engineering, and reliable system integration. You will collaborate with developers, marketing teams, and business stakeholders to identify repetitive processes, implement intelligent workflows, and improve operational efficiency through practical AI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • AI Workflow Development: Design and implement AI-powered automation workflows using n8n and custom integrations.
  • LLM Integration: Integrate OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and other supported AI models into business applications and automated processes.
  • Business Process Automation: Analyze existing business workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
  • API Development: Build and maintain REST API integrations, webhooks, and custom automation endpoints.
  • AI Agent Systems: Develop task-oriented AI agents with appropriate tool access, validation, and human approval controls.
  • Document Processing: Create workflows for document classification, information extraction, summarization, and structured data processing.
  • RAG Implementation: Develop retrieval-augmented generation workflows using relevant document sources, embeddings, and vector search.
  • CRM and Marketing Automation: Connect business systems, CRMs, analytics platforms, and lead management processes.
  • Error Handling and Monitoring: Implement logging, retries, alerts, and fallback processes for reliable automation.
  • Security and Data Protection: Apply appropriate authentication, secrets management, access controls, and data-handling safeguards.
  • AI Evaluation: Test AI-generated outputs for quality, reliability, and suitability before production use.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain workflow documentation, integration specifications, and operational instructions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in software development, system integrations, or workflow automation.
  • Hands-on experience developing automation workflows using n8n.
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and external integrations.
  • Practical experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, structured outputs, and AI application workflows.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Supabase.
  • Ability to debug automation workflows and troubleshoot integration failures.
  • Understanding of authentication, API security, and sensitive data handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining production automation systems.

Nice-to-have skills

  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search.
  • Familiarity with Supabase, pgvector, Pinecone, or comparable vector search technologies.
  • Experience with Docker, Linux environments, and self-hosted n8n.
  • Knowledge of AI agent evaluation, observability, and cost monitoring.
  • Experience integrating WhatsApp, email, CRM, or customer support systems.
  • Familiarity with Next.js, React, and custom AI application development.
  • Experience deploying AI-powered chatbots, assistants, and knowledge base systems.
  • Understanding of workflow version control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
